More denials have emerged regarding the rumour that Mohamed Elneny is set to complete a move from Arsenal to AC Milan.

Interviewed by Sada Al Balad TV (via Goal.com) on Thursday, Nasser Elneny claimed that his son is in advanced talks with Milan, who have have renewed their interest in his son having previously shown their interest without going any further.

However, it then emerged that Rossoneri director Zvone Boban has denied the rumours of the potential arrival of Elneny in January.

According to il Giornale – as cited by MilanNews.it – Milan are not close to signing the Egypt international as previously claimed by his family.

Meanwhile, La Gazzetta dello Sport’s Nicolo Schira is also reporting that the Diavolo were offered the chance to sign the 27-year-old, who is currently on loan at Besiktas.

However, Paolo Maldini declined the offer as he is instead searching for a midfielder with ‘other characteristics’.
