There are certainly some doubters in the face of Conrad Harder, but a move to AC Milan would bring that for everyone.

With a striker, the views are even more polarising. After all, for many, it is the most important thing on the pitch. However, with Harder, these views are even more magnified, for reasons out of his hands.

As Gazzetta dello Sport (seen below) write, Sporting bought the Dane last summer, who was hoped to be Viktor Gyokeres’ replacement – someone that the Rossoneri had hoped for in the past 12 months – though, he now will play for Milan.
It was not an easy decision, though. Instead, Harder took time to deliberate on the decision, with Rennes offering him a pathway to potential stardom, boosted by their recent history. Milan have burned through strikers in recent years; it is a career risk.

Then, there are also the current players to continue. At most, three will play at one time for Massimiliano Allegri, Rafael Leao, Christian Pulisic and Santiago Gimenez may be the choice, or maybe just two.
So, the Dane may not start, but he could learn, both the team and San Siro, and then step into the limelight when he is ready. Patience is required, like with everything, but he may not be afforded that due to variables out of his hands.
This should be other way around, why it does not make sense.
Since day one of transfermerkato it is clear we need a sticker.
If you by a unknown gamble, you by it early so you can use preseason to evaluate.
Finally, if you finish 8, finish the market with 50M gain… only hope will be Alegri.

Looking like the deal with Harder is going to fall through. Sporting wants a replacement for him before he leaves (clubs do that’s??!!). Not sure if they’ll get one.

We let go of 3 out of 4 strikers who had last season, and the remaining one, Giménez, doesn’t look good so far.
We tried for Boniface only to find out he’s injured beyond repair and we desperatly need at least a striker who can sub our only remaining striker or start ahead of him.

When we bought Kaka we already had legit goal scorers in the team..and he was bought as an attacking mid to compliment and eventually replace my boy Rui Costa. He was a relative unknown but not to this extent and our team was already packed with stars. Much different scenarios

Learn your history. Sheva was stellar when playing in Ukraine and destroyed even Barcelona by himself in the UCL. There probably wasn’t a single club in Europe that wouldn’t have wanted him before his move to Milan.

Looking back and thinking about when we won things I’ve realized we did so when we had some of the best strikers in the world….Van Basten, Weah, Sheva/Pippo, and Ibra. Just an observation.

I guess the bottom line is: you need strong players to make a strong team.

The management is a mess. They don’t have money to buy quality players. American owners look for so much profit. This is the reason why we are selling our best players for more money and buying unknown players.

Thank goodness we have the goal machine that is Pavlovich. He’s like van Nistelrooy but playing from the back. We should give him the 9 shirt really. We just need 2 or maybe 3 more midfielders then we can have a whole team of midfielders and we’ll be complete. I think the only issue is magic Mike in goal, if we put Modric back there to create and lead, we’ll challenge for the scudetto. We can sell Mike to City for 20 million which is fair since he’s our captain, 15 would be WAY too low…

IF you goal is to buy development players and sell for PROFIT like Atalanta – then ya it “makes sense”. BUT if your goal is to get back into top 4 and I don’t k ow, perhaps aspire to win the league – then NO it doesn’t “make sense”. Unfortunately we all know the motives of Redbird and Furlani and that is to make PROFIT on resales. That is all. Not sure this is what Max signed up for or even Tare for that matter. We are a selling club now and have been for the past few years. All of the players we purchased thus far, save for Modric, are gambles – nothing guaranteed. All young and need to establish themselves. Whether they do or not remains to be seen. So far it hasn’t worked out. The past few transfer windows have been a circus with only Pulisic the only guarantee. Hojland would have made sense, Vlahovic makes sense, even Rabiot makes sense. But not this. someone has either lost their mind, or they are a complete genius. We’ll find out soon enough.
Wait, we let Jovic, a former Real Madrid player, with UCL experience and already playing i Serie A for 3 or 4 years, who was never really given a proper support and chance, but delivered when he got a chance.
