The chances of AC Milan making a concrete attempt to sign Moise Kean are decreasing, according to a report.

It’s no secret that Milan will have to sign a striker in the summer window, and one that finally offers guarantees in terms of goal return. The lack of a true No.9 has been a real Achilles heel for the Rossoneri not just this season but for the past few years.

Kean’s chances declining

Among the many names that have emerged, even since last summer, one that’s particularly persistent is Moise Kean. The Fiorentina striker was coached and launched into the top-flight by Massimiliano Allegri during his time at Juventus, so the pair know each other well.

However, Tuttosport (via MilanNews) report that Kean’s candidacy has declined in recent days for a couple of reasons. First of all, the €62m release clause in his contract will allow Fiorentina to demand a high fee, even if it is an aspect the directors believe they can work on.

Secondly, the major cause for concern is the many physical issues this season that still appear unresolved for Kean. We know from the Marc Pubill, Victor Boniface and Jean-Philippe Mateta cases that the Milan medical staff are very attentive to these types of repetitive issues.

This season, Kean has already suffered with a few different injuries, from shin and ankle issues to ones of a more muscular nature. Looking back through his record, it seems that the Italian is constantly battling a thigh issue, something Milan may want more guarantees on.
