Agreed. People, just look at Allegri’s history- three in the back even when he had Chiellini and Bonucci. It will always be three in the back to start a game. If they go down 2-0 then it might change.

With this formation the only forward reserve on the bench is Saelemaekers.
The formation is not sustainable after so many exits of forwards.

If you think about signings only Estupinan, Rabiot, Modric and Ricci would have been enough. Jimenez or at least Musah should have stayed. Invest Jashari and Nkunku money into quality cb and striker. Good to go with 3-5-2. Poor planning over and over again. Furlani masterclass.
Because Leao has maxed out on salary under imposed cap and will therefore be sold next summer and Nkunku is his replacement? Just a wild guess.

They may give Nkunku the RLC role that way they keep the 352 and keep leao, pulsic and nkunku on the field together. That only leaves 2 other spots in mid between ricci, modric, jashari and the rest. Idk, glad I’m not the coach tho cuz this is a mess lol.

Can’t see that this squad can use the forwards in any starting formation than four forwards (Leao, Pulisic, Nkunku & Gimenez) rotating through 2 positions in a 352.
More than 2 on the field will only happen if we need to change the game.
