Most teams in French Ligue 1 who have huge turnovers, like Milan over the past two years, have sporting directors getting huge bonuses on transfers. And of course no share, hence no financial liability, in their respective club. Coming from there, I think Moncada negotiated something like that in his last contract, when it was rumored that he was coveted by other clubs and he had leverage. Can’t be sure since his contract is not public but it would make sense. This guy must be feasting on the revolutions every six months.

Will be interesting to see Allegri’s approach here. We currently have better wing-backs than full-backs, but will we deploy a formation that makes use of that?
With a 3-4-3 or 3-5-2 we can make use of them but we’ll need midfield solidarity and to replace Reijnders’ goals somehow.
Without a solid attacking midfielder any more, it would feel that’s a more appropriate formation than a 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1 but it’s putting a lot of faith in Salamaekers and Theo (or his replacement) to be very productive going forwards.
Vandeross/DeCuyper in either side would be instant upgrade. But we’ll likely end up with Zinchenko and Terraciano.
