This international break has been particularly difficult for Milan, who have lost several players to injury. The first seemed likely to be Alexis Saelemaekers, but as was recently reported, fortunately the Belgian’s problem turned out to be less serious than expected.

According to MilanNews, ‘the opposite is true for Christian Pulisic’, whose condition will not actually be assessed today. The American will return from the United States late tonight (European time) due to a flight delay from Colorado, and will undergo the tests tomorrow instead.
It is already almost certain that Pulisic has zero chance of playing any part against Fiorentina on Sunday night at San Siro. However, what remains to be seen is whether an absence of around a month will be confirmed, if a serious enough muscle issue.

FWIW Pulsic’s injury did not look serious in live time. It seemed like a contact injury, contra recent reports. My impression live was that Pochettino took him off as a precaution two minutes after a hard foul. (Australia were intentionally fouling him hard, with the ref offering no protection).
