Christian Pulisic is yet to make his debut for AC Milan this season, but Sunday’s trip to Juventus should be the night of his first appearance.
Two games, zero minutes. As Calciomercato.com write, Pulisic hasn’t yet worn the Milan shirt in the 2026-27 season, but he hopes to do so at the Allianz Stadium, where last season he missed what would have been a winning penalty.

It was an opportunity spurned, in a season plagued by injuries. The latest came at the World Cup was a bone edema in the junction of the tibia and fibula in his right leg, which forced him to miss preseason and forces him to pursue a career.
The present and the future
The former Chelsea and Borussia Dortmund player was benched for last Friday’s win against Venezia, but he’s not ready yet to play a sizeable chunk of the game. Ruben Amorim confirmed this in his post-match interview.
“He’s a great talent. I simply have to manage my players’ workloads, and right now we need to win. So it’s difficult for Pulisic to find space, but he’s still a very important player for us,” the Milan coach said. In other words, he’s currently behind Cisse and Loftus-Cheek, at least in condition.

A starting spot isn’t guaranteed though and the American is no longer untouchable, especially with so many competitors for the playmaker spots. He needs to reclaim his place, not live off the benefits of what he’s done until the end of 2025.
Having lost Rafael Leao, who was sold permanently to Galatasaray, Milan are looking for new leaders in the attac. Pulisic has everything it takes to become one again, after a complicated summer in which the transfer market was a noise in the background.
Major League Soccer club New York FC tried to bring him to the United States, but it never got very far. Pulisic is at the heart of Cardinale’s sporting and commercial project, and in the coming weeks he will personally address the renewal issue.
Pulisic’s contract expires in 2027, and the provocative request from the player’s agents is for a salary doubled from €4m net to €8m net per season. It’s possible the parties will reach a halfway agreement, but Milan first and foremost expects responses from the pitch.

As long as milan owner was the american, pulisic its milan bandiera.. hehe
NO ONE should have a guaranteed place in the starting 11. Ever.
Van Dijk is the 2nd best paid player in PL and he doesn’t get 8M net. Asking that after missing half of the season and not scoring for 6 months is…
You are right, VVD doesnt earn 8 mil euro net. He earns an estimated 10 mil POUNDS net (18.2 mil pounds gross, then around 45% income tax).
If Pulisic is our best GA this season 6-7 mil net is a resonable fee to request. 8 mil might be too if you weigh in his commercial value on the american market, which of course you should.
He needs to stop being so injury prone for that thou….
You are right, when I googled it showed his pervious contract but the main point is exactly that. Van Dijk won both the PL and CL before getting over 7M net. And that is a 2 year contract, not a 5-6 year deal. So after 9 years at Liverpool being one of the best defenders on the planet he is paid that. Pulisic needs to step up and bring a title with his contribution to even ask for 8M
I suspect that Pulisic is going to MLS after his contract ends in 2027 (Milan have an option to extend for one more year).
New York City FC was reportedly prepared to offer Christian Pulisic a five-year contract worth $10 million per year (approximately €10 million per season).
Milan can’t and won’t compete with that.
As central as he was to Milan’s project in the last three years, under Amorim, it looks like he is not going to be a central to his project, as he’s tried out several players in Pulisic’s positions.
Musah may turn out to have a longer career at Milan than Pulisic.
The guy rarely gets injured.
This season looks like Musah finally making his breakthrough as a starter – the right position, the right coach is what it took.
Hehe.. nonsense. You will see the real mussah come out. He was cut from the USA national team during world cup for a reason.
Let’s not forget the constant benching he receives no matter who he plays for.He has an amazing motor but historically has lacked quality.
Musah didn’t make the USMNT roster because Allegri didn’t want to coach him, and sent him into purgatory with Atalanta for all of last year.
So he was barely playing last season, got something like only 500+ minutes in all.
Pochettino dropped him from USMNT callups at that point.
Previously, Poch had tried him as a right wingback – that isn’t his best position because Musah lacks the specific offensive moves and skills to take on and beat defenders 1 v 1 frontally – and it’s in these situations that he often loses the ball and people think he’s useless.
As a defensive mid, he’s perfect – he’s got great tackling skills and he’s great at shielding the ball and not losing it to somebody trying to tackle him from the side or back.
And so far he has excelled at doing what he does best, and Amorim’s instructions to him have been clear – don’t try to do something fancy or heroic and end up looking stupid, just make a safe pass to somebody with better offensive skills.
Musah’s pass completion rate has been about 90% this year
I don’t know why nobody else sees this – I’ve watched him since he was 18 yrs old, and he’s always excelled as a defensive midfielder, and been erratic at other positions.
The problem has always been that the teams he was on had established, more proven defensive midfielders, and until Amorim came in, nobody had seen that he could be a better defensive mid than whoever had been the starting defensive mid.
I’ve never rated Tyler Adams as the great defensive midfielder that USMNT fans think he is. Adams is also frequently injured, with a chronic back problem.
If Musah’s form continues under Amorim, he could be the next great defensive midfielder for Milan and the USMNT.
If you’re behind RLC… LOL
