Theo Hernandez was offered to Real Madrid in the summer by his entourage as they tried to engineer an AC Milan exit, a report has claimed.
It became clear early in the summer with the appointment of Massimiliano Allegri that Theo was going to be shown the door, after a bad 2024-25 season in which he made the headlines more for controversial reasons than for good performances.

After links with Atletico Madrid, the left-back departed the Rossoneri to continue his career at Al-Hilal in the end, a team who are coached by Simone Inzaghi, formerly of Inter.
Real return offered
According to Marca, Real Madrid went in search of a new left-back in the summer window and they would eventually sign Álvaro Carreras from Benfica, who is impressing for Los Blancos so far.
However, the 22-year-old was not the only option for the management. Real were also offered up the chance to sign both Theo Hernández and Bayer Leverkusen’s Alejandro Grimaldo.

The prospect clearly did not fill them with much enthusiasm, as the directors made clear to the agents of both players that they were prioritising a deal for Carreras, who was considered the only target.
As mentioned, Theo’s over half-decade spell in the red and black was brought to a close by his move to Saudi. Having arrived at Milan from Real Madrid in the 2019 summer transfer window, he amassed 262 appearances, 34 goals and 45 assists.
