AC Milan are risking a repeat of this season already, and if action is not taken soon, it could creep up on the Rossoneri.
There are several directions that you can point this season in terms of blame. Whether that is solely towards the management or not, it probably has a part to do with some misjudgment on their part.
Last summer, Milan failed to hire a coach quickly enough, and the summer rebuild was poor, at best. In fact, this trend continued into the winter too, where each signing has been questioned already.
Already, there is a fear coming over the Rossoneri about the season only a few months away, and it starts with fears about the coach. This morning, La Gazzetta dello Sport (seen below) have taken a deeper look.
Italiano, Allegri and Gasperini
On Saturday night, Giorgio Furlani, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Geoffrey Moncada sat discussing the issue of a coach – not the first time they have sat at San Siro to evaluate things after a game, certainly, famously, even.
Today, these discussions will continue with Igli Tare, who is expected to start work today.
It starts with Sergio Conceicao, whose future needs to be finalised. Of course, the Diavolo plan to make use of their break clause. Then, the search for a new coach will begin once again, powered by the freedom of the off-season.
Vincenzo Italiano and Gian Piero Gasperini are currently options, though both are seemingly unattainable, due to their situations with their current clubs. Both are in the process of renewing their deals.
Then, there is Massimiliano Allegri. However, his own future can be questioned with Napoli tracking him heavily. Perhaps, after months of being linked, he will head for other pastures, rather than the Milanese ones that have been drawn up for so long.
Difficulties and alternatives
There, as mentioned then, are issues with all three leading choices. So, we go back to the start. Milan’s new coach must be Italian and have an impressive record. Perhaps, Roberto Mancini will arise as an option.
Also, Thiago Motta and Francesco Farioli, both of whom had questionable spells with Juventus and Ajax this season. Nevertheless, they are there, both free of charge. Maurizio Sarri and Roberto De Zerbi, at least for now, can remain on the probably not pile.

Mancini will be good here. He is a good coach & a winner. Sign him please & let him hurry & DeBruyne before Napoli did, because there eyes is on him already. A player of his calibre & also a free MUST not escape us please, if really we are serious. Is an opportunity, so grab it please
Mancini is a trash coach stuck in the past and totally delusional. F’d up the world cup qualification and then was in total denial about this epic failure for months before pissing off to Saudi Arabia to cash in.
So we gonna waste another year with Motta…oh, that’s great…..
Bring Paolo Maldini back and he will find the right manager for us
Anyone but Allegri.
I really hope Allegri goes to Napoli so he can ruin one of our rivals for next season.
But Milan really have to act fast, so the new coach can prepare as early as he can especially with players to sign and sell.
Motta is the perfect choice to continue this s**t show.
So many options last year but this year Milan left with not many options aster they keep delaying.
Again with this act quickly crap. We heard the same thing about the hire of a sporting director and now we have one. We’ve heard the same thing about transfers every single season for the past 4 years and players always arrive. A new coach and new players will be in place for pre-season. The club is run by amateurs, it is not however, despite what people think, run by idiots. They know the mistakes they have made, they didn’t and haven’t shied away from it, they know what they have to do.
If those are the options than convonce Conceicao to stay please 😆
We hired him mid season. He had no time for anything, and had to act in haste.
Now they are doing the same to the new sporting director. They hire middiocre staff and give them no support and no time.
All that so that there is always a handy scapegoat at the end of the season.
Bring in Conte – stop mucking around.
