AC Milan used five strikers during the 2024-25 season, and Massimiliano Allegri has asked for one who he wishes to be his starter: Dusan Vlahovic.
As Tuttosport (via MilanNews) recalls this morning, five centre-forwards alternated at Milan in the season that has just finished, but to date the only one who is certain to stay next year is Santiago Gimenez.

In the first part of the season, the Rossoneri often relied on Alvaro Morata who then went on loan to Galatasaray in January until the end of 2025. In the following months, in addition to the Mexican, Tammy Abraham, Luka Jovic and Francesco Camarda all started.
However, the Englishman will not be bought from Roma, the Serbian will not renew his expiring contract, while the very young Italian is destined to go and play on loan.
Allegri wants a striker
Obviously Gimenez alone is not enough and for this reason Allegri has asked the club for another striker. One of the names that has been linked most insistently to the Rossoneri in recent weeks is that of Vlahovic, whose deal with Juve expires in a year.
At the moment there do not seem to be much chance of a renewal with the Bianconeri, but in the next few days everything will be clearer given that there will be contact between the player and Damien Comolli, with the latter wanting to understand the Serbian’s intentions.

He has no shortage of admirers around Europe (Fenerbahce, Atletico Madrid and Manchester United), as well as in Italy where Milan are seriously considering him. There was an initial contact between the Milan and Juve on Thursday, with the Diavolo trying to understand what the asking price is.
The player will weigh on the accounts at just under €20m on June 30. The Bianconeri are starting with a valuation of €30m euros, but a deal could be found at €25m . As for his salary, Milan will not offer the €12m net per year he gets now, but hope €6-7m per season could be enough.

Is there any other option pls?
In Milannews.it is article about Immobile. He is cheap options, around 4-5m€. He has now 35 years old, but still he has numbers with Besiktas (15G and 4A)… 2 years contract can be good deal for this price, he knows Seria A well and if he will be capable to score around 10-12G , it can be a good deal….
Another names besides Vlahovic is Retegui (40m€) and Lucca (25-30m€)…
For now I don’t think there is a chance for another quality strikers when we are out of CL… and another problem can be price.. if Alegri want many new players , there is no chance we will buy every player for 30-40m€…
We can sign any top striker in the world, but without good distribution from midfield, I am not sure it will work really good (or as good as expected). Signing player like Modric maybe will help, I like the idea, especially bonus his leadership. He is still good surely, no argument about that from me, but surely lets dont forget his age, that we cant expect too much from him. Yes we have great wingers in Leao and Pulisic now, but from center area, it is not convincing now. Imo for strikers, Gimenez is quite decent. I am still waiting for rumors about us targeting good midfielders to be materialized.
Remember when early 2000s when Milan had solid creative midfielders (Rui Costa, Pirlo, Seedorf, Kaka) combined with horsepower Gattuso and Ambrosini. Basically it worked nicely with a lot of type of strikers, from Sheva to Inzaghi to Crespo, heck, even to Jon Dahl Tomasson. It is not about nostalgic, simply referring as example.
Madris several seasons ago relied on Joselu as their number 9, but could still work good also due to their superior midfielders. Also City pre Haaland, that what they were superior with their midfielders, missed at that time only Champions league title. Again, I am aware we are now in different world financially to Madrid and City, or even to Milan in early 2000s, but just as reflection how important to have solid midfield is. So for now, considering all factors for Milan current state, as a fan, if management is really about to splash big fund to strengthen squad, I would prefer seeing Milan signing top midfielder than top sttiker.
If this is true, than in my humble opinion, theyr making a mistake.
We have strikers.. enough of them and also they are good and some.in need of a chance. Dont spend the money like that, we need a midfiels.. defence.. may be GK.. but not a striker.. i hope its fake news..
But nowadays nothing suprises me with this team unfortunatly.
Max, you don’t get to have another CF who is the same as the one you have. You can just coach the one you have.
Giminez was the wrong player. How is getting players like Vlahovic and Retegui going to fix that?
Doesn’t anyone seriously think Retegui scores 20 goals with the supply produced by an Allegri side. If you do you haven’t watch Retegui play.
Lucca is an interesting profile, different from what we have, he’s the one we should go for, unless if they want to try for Osimhen.
