Will Gattuso leave AC Milan even in case of Champions League?

The fight to reach the fourth position in Serie A and qualify for the Champions League is in full swing, with the next few weeks being decisive to decide who is in and who is out.

According to bestbettingsites.online, tough, Rossoneri coach Gennaro Gattuso may have had his future decided already. Betting sites have already cut the odds of Gattuso’s departure and many bookmakers have opened betting markets on who is going to replace him. Apparently, he could be sacked even if he manages to take back AC Milan into the Champions League.

Currently, the atmosphere at AC Milan is not a positive one. Silence has in fact fallen both in and out the pitch with few players that are likely to leave the squad in a couple of months. Suso is one of those. Until only a few weeks ago there were talks of his contract being renewed. The issue, however, hasn’t been resolved and the player is looking for options for his future.

Undoubtedly the uncertainty hasn’t helped the situation. Suso is silent on the pitch but Gattuso still believes in him a lot. The main problem though is that the management doesn’t think he will be part of the team they are going to rebuild this summer.

The winger’s performances have dropped significantly and he hasn’t managed to score a single goal since January 21. He has also been less decisive in the pitch.

Surely Gattuso is a stubborn character and he will try again. With Paqueta injured he is the only one capable of causing some spark. However, AC Milan need the top version of Suso: his goals and assists are genuinely required in the fight for a Champions League spot.

AC Milan boss Rino Gattuso also spoke to the press as the Rossoneri are going to take on Lazio this weekend. He said that Lazio will be a final for AC Milan. If they want to have a chance to qualify for the Champions League they will need the three points. He also said that against Juventus they did well but the luck wasn’t on their side.

With Rino Gattuso on the departure list, AC Milan management has started to work on finding his replacement. According to The Mirror, Mauricio Pochettino has emerged as one of the top candidates to take over at AC Milan next season. The Argentinean has a contract with Spurs until 2023 but the Rossoneri are keen to hire him to start the revolution already from the 2019/20 campaign.

New AC Milan CEO’s Ivan Gazidiz is planning to offer Pochettino a transfer budget of around €300 million to try and persuade the Argentine to move from North London to Milan.

In recent months also Real Madrid and Manchester United have been linked with the manager but now both have confirmed their respective managers for next season. With Antonio Conte that seems to have signed for Inter Milan, there aren’t many left on Gazidiz’s list.
