Win against Hellas Verona saw Milan achieve something for first time in club history

By Oliver Fisher -

With the win against Hellas Verona at the Stadio Bentegodi last night AC Milan racked up a record they have never achieved before in their history.

The first 45 minutes were characterised by two errors at the back as Miguel Veloso put a Rafael Leao cross into his own-goal to give Milan the lead, but then Matteo Gabbia diverted a Koray Gunter shot past Ciprian Tatarusanu 10 minutes later to level it.

The winner came late in the game and in all honesty might have been quite harsh on Verona, but Tonali was again the decisive man just as he was in the same game last season as he kept his composure to score a late winner.

As MilanNews report, the win in Verona is significant because it means that Stefano Pioli’s men have won seven of their opening 10 league games for the third season in a row. Never in their history have they done that for three consecutive openings to a campaign.
