Winger hints at preference over next move amid €40m Milan, Chelsea and Man Utd links

Dinamo Zagreb star Dani Olmo has hinted that he would like to return to Barcelona amid links with AC Milan, Chelsea and Manchester United.

The Spain international caught the attention of some of Europe’s elite clubs after he helped his country’s U21 side win the European Championships over the summer, and he has continued that form by scoring eight goals already this season.

The Manchester Evening News recently reported that both Manchester City and Manchester United are ready to go head to head in January to try and sign the winger, while numerous reports have linked Milan with a swoop for the 21-year-old.

Spanish outlet Sport added Chelsea have become the latest side to join the hunt and have submitted an offer for the €40m-rated Olmo, while Spurs are also being linked by a number of sources in England.

Mundo Deportivo claimed earlier in the week though that Barcelona have made an official offer to Dinamo Zagreb for the Spanish talent, who came through their academy, and now he has hinted that he would be open to a return.

“It makes me happy the idea that Barcelona reconsider the possibility of bringing me home,” he told Catalan newspaper L’Esportiu (via MilanNews.it).

“My goal is to go to the European Championship. And it will be difficult for me if in the next six months I play only in the Croatian league. I want to go one step further and not just to go to Euro 2020 but also to keep improving. I’m ready to take a step forward in my career.”
