AC Milan are long time admirers of Zenit St.Petersburg’s star Axel Witsel. The Belgium International, who netted in the Diable Rouge’s 3-0 win over Ireland on Wednesday, has admitted that the rossoneri had made contact to sign him in the past.
“It’s true that Milan tried to sign me but this was a long time ago. Italian football fascinates me and at the age of 27, it would be the right challenge”
The rossoneri could make an attempt to sign him again this summer, especially if a Chinese consortium will complete the club’s takeover. Witsel is also a target of Juventus, Napoli and Everton.
