In the latest turn of events, AC Milan are seemingly not going to hire Massimiliano Allegri, after his former coach Giovanni Galeone revealed some information about the situation.
For the past few weeks, it has seemed like Allegri would very likely return to his post as the head coach of Milan, especially with Fabio Paratici probable to be the new sporting director of the club, and Milan wanting a coach with Italian experience.
Nevertheless, things are never that simple, especially when the Rossoneri are involved, and it now seems like the former Juventus man will not be arriving at San Siro, at least not on the home bench.
Just weeks after saying that the 57-year-old could arrive, Galeone has revealed to Radio Kiss Kiss that he will not be the new manager of the Diavolo, as relayed by Milan Zone on X.
“I spoke to Massimiliano Allegri on the phone and he told me he won’t go to Milan, he hasn’t had any contact with the Rossoneri.”
It is worth remembering that the club are waiting to hire a new sporting director before any decisions are made, but the statement seems rather concrete from the favourite.
If this is true, it’s the best news of 2025 so far.
Thank you. Someone with sense. I truly hope we don’t sign Allergi, I rather get Pioli back than him
What, his media campaign didn’t work? No way, I thought he is the only choice, leading candidate. If you “reporters” or better said “copy pasters” had any integrity you wouldn’t spread those obviously paid articles. But you do not.
Hallelujah
Every no name clown out there pretending to be a journalist trying to generate some publicity by throwing sh!t at the wall to see what sticks. So if by some off chance it ends up being true, they can claim having been the first one to report it.
Every. Single. One.
No one knows anything but everyone is speculating. And that’s basically Italian media in a nutshell.
No thanks.
Even the idea of him coming back makes me puke in my mouth!
Seriously. Enough with the trash articles around next season coach.
Just sit tight.
Stop speculating.
Let the season play out.
If you must have daily flip flopping speculation.
Then do it about the sporting director job which:
1. Is actually vacant.
2. Should be filled first to pick the next coach. Whenever it next needs changing.
