CM: ‘Worst ever’ Theo could leave Milan as early as January with Man Utd interested

Theo Hernandez’s situation at AC Milan is changing constantly, but not in the way that would be hoped for by fans. Instead, it is getting worse.

In the summer, Theo came out and said that he was not sure where his future was, days after Zlatan Ibrahimovic had confirmed that the big three stars would remain at the club during the mercato. Since then, things have gone downhill.

Contract talks are yet to take off properly, unlike those occurring with Mike Maignan and Tijjani Reijnders, and his performances are not matching the requests he is making for a renewal. For this reason, a departure cannot be ruled out.

Because of this, January will be a key month. Reports have already stated that the club will prioritise sorting his renewal (among others) during the mercato, but Calciomercato.com have also claimed that another option could be viewed.

In a report, it is suggested that a January exit is ‘not a taboo’, given the current season that the 27-year-old is having. The ‘worst Theo’ is seemingly at the ‘natural conclusion’ of his journey with the Rossoneri, and there is no longer the ‘necessary stimulus’ to continue.

For this reason, continuing together makes no sense, as the report suggests, so a January sale would be ‘anything but a gamble’.

  1. I hope he leaves. What a disgusting behavior anytime he enters the field. Giving him the armband is such an insult to our history and a very telling example of our identity crisis under RedTurd.

  2. First, he should have never wear the armband.
He’s definitely not a captain material, infact, no one in milan is except for maybe maignan.
Secondly, he’s 27, he should be in his prime yet he seems like he’s in declining phase.
Maybe he can find his form again in a new club.
My only concern is who can milan get to replace him.

    1. Who can?…first i will try for girona LB…or try to find eny who can play with right leg pass on 5meters…theo doesn’t have right leg! We make mistake selling tonali…brahim…dalot….should stay.
Now we must sell tomori theo and leao. Bring dragusin….olmo on No10…and top class striker like gyokeres…vlahovic…why them? Because if we dont pay money we will have average player like David or someone else

  3. When players perform badly the next thing is to start showing the player the next door. Why are we like this ? There is no single player in Milan that we have not called for his exit. And when these players go to other clubs and start thriving , you will start blaming management. We need to be analytical in our thanking. This Theo we are shouting at has been playing for years without a back up. As big as Milan is, it’s ridiculous that for years we can’t get a back up all these years. The management is the major problem . They don’t want to spend and they want to win. We are trying to make our books look good and same time we want to win good. Look at Rejinder and Fofana, they play all matches except if they have injury. No back up. When the continuous overuse start taking its toll on the players , we will start shouting that they are not good ..bla..bla… Imagine, Musah that’s supposed to play as back up for Fofana is now being used as Right winger to cover up for management failure in Emerson.Royal. So please blame management first.

  4. People are so shallow. One or two bad games and thats it, the player sucks and needs to leave. Then when we can’t replace him the same people cry why did we sold him etc. Maybe try to look a bit further then just one or two games. Theo is a Champion and one of the best LB if not the best LB in the world. But when you constantly lie to him that the team will improve and compete for titles while in the end you always win nothing and just repeat the lies, maybe he is just tired of the bs. Same thing goes for Leao, top players are not going to be motivated to play for low salary and fight for 4th place in their whole career.

    1. 70-90 million?
Some fans are so detached from reality.
35-40 is what his value is and falling.
Also, it’s not like teams are fighting to buy him.

        1. Zinchenko was worth 30-35 a couple of years ago when Arsenal bought him from ManCity. Today, he is worth around the same money as Emerson Royal.
Theo has a year and a half left on his contract. He isn’t worth nowhere near 70-90 million if he had a long term contract, but you think that with 1.5 year left on his contract and playing like ass that some team will be stupid enough to pay Milan 70-90 million?
          Delusional.

    2. Straight to the transfer market.

This is where people’s brains go these days.

      It’s all a game.

Oh great, we replace Theo with such and such I found on Football Manager, and replace so and with so and so, and so and so with so and so….

      It’s so utterly pointless.

  5. I like Theo, he become star here, in Milan. Now he has some difficult moments like Rafa has, and I would be happy if he stay, but if he want to leave, then go .. in January we can make around 40-45m from his sale and reinvest it to another promisong LB….but after all, it make no sense to me go to Man United…they play worse then us ..we still play for CL, but they are on 15th place….only positive thing is more money what he erned.

  6. The question is why id the one of the best LBs in the world , if not the best, plays like this. I think it’s the whole direction of the club. Mediocre management and coach.

  7. we should expect this much. the club on the verge of missing all objective this season. they’ll be forced to sell some player next summer. and looking at the past policy. nobody unsellable. everybody got their price. the management working earnest only in transfer window. like trading is their calling.

  8. Enjoyed him while he was with us , seems like his head is not there anymore. Him leaving would be right for all relevant parties.

We should use the money to get Kiwior and Patrick Dorgu from Lecce.

  9. By the end of the season we could well have dismantled the entire Scudetto winning side which, lest we forget, was only 2 full seasons ago.

In 2 full seasons we have lost 20/27 players from that squad and only 3 of those were retirees.

Everyone else has been so sold, let go or forced out.

And even now Fonseca has frozen out Calabria (much to the celebration of many on here) and it seems Tomori, with Theo and Leao taking turns to be scapegoated.

If we don’t qualify for the too 4 this year we could well lose at least two if not all of Maignan, Theo and Leao with Calabria all but forced out.

This has got to be some sort of record.

Has there ever been a championship winning side dismantled this quickly?

    1. “Has there ever been a championship winning side dismantled this quickly?”
Maybe when we sold T Silva and Ibra to PSG. This was the prelude to the banter era.
But yes points above taken. I don’t understand what’s happening on this
forum re Theo. Sure he’s in a rut, we should support him not vilify him. We know how great he can be. It’s not like he’s an unknown quantity. But maybe that’s just me

      1. In fairness we needed to sell T Silva and Ibra for financial reasons (and in the end spend many more times their transfer fees not replacing them).

But there was some logic to it. There has been no logic to what’s happened over the past two seasons.

It’s absolutely bonkers we sacked Maldini and Massaro, sold Tonali, and changed half the squad a year after winning the Scudetto and having just made the semi-finals of Champions League.

And again more bonkers stuff sacking a manager who finished 2nd with more random transfers.

As for Theo, it’s just itchy feet.

People are secretly more excited about the prospect of him being part of some big transfer story and all of the possible replacements, than actually supporting the team, and watching the game of football.

These people live for the transfer market. I’ve no idea why they don’t just check back in in January and the summer.

  10. Fonesca needs to leave… the rest of you should shut up… Theo is a great left back. Just three bad games and you guys are already ranting… I also remembered how you guys were ranting about selling Leao earlier this season… bunch of clowns 🤡
