The agent of young Feyenoord striker Santiago Gimenez has confirmed that AC Milan are interested in him, as are many other big clubs.
Speaking during an interview with TUDN (via Milan News), Morris Pagniello was very honest about the serious interest that exists in his young client who has been one of the best players in the Eredivisie this season.
It seems that teams from at least three different top leagues are trying to sign him, as Pagniello explained that Atletico Madrid are a serious candidate, whilst three Serie A teams are and some English clubs.
“The truth is that Atletico Madrid, with a coach like Cholo Simeone, could be one of the best options for him. I can say that it is one of the clubs most interested in wanting him, there are many clubs that are moving. In Italy Inter, Napoli, Milan and also several English clubs,” he said.
The Rossoneri have been linked with Gimenez for many months. The 21-year-old has scored 15 league goals this season, as well as five more in the Europa League and three in the domestic cup.
It is hardly a surprise that the Mexican forward has charmed clubs right across the continent of Europe and a big battle will likely ensue for his signature.
