Mediaset: Zaniolo holding out for Milan despite €5m-a-year offer from England

By Oliver Fisher -

It seems as though Nicolo Zaniolo will not be joining Bournemouth this month as he is not convinced by the idea despite being offered a big pay rise, a report claims.

According to reports from SportMediaset (via MilanNews) this afternoon, a meeting will take place between Nicolò Zaniolo’s agent and the management of Bournemouth today. The English club have already presented the Giallorossi with an offer of €30m plus bonuses which has been accepted, but the player still needs to be convinced.

The Cherries seem to have gone down the route of convincing him economically, having readied a contract that is worth €5m net per season. However, it is unlikely that this operation will go as the winger remains sceptical.

Instead, the 23-year-old was holding out for Milan and Roma to agree a deal before February 1 because he would have liked to join the Rossoneri above all.

  1. So sad, seemd he really wants to come here. These are players we need the ones who really want to be here. Yet we won’t do it.. pathetic. Redbird and Elliot out.
