Sky: Zaniolo expected to reject Bournemouth and wait for summer Milan attempt

By Oliver Fisher -

Nicolo Zaniolo currently seems inclined to reject Bournemouth’s offer, stay at Roma and wait for AC Milan in the summer, according to a report.

Angelo Mangiante spoke on Sky (via MilanNews) about the future of Zaniolo, confirming that he is in training with the rest of the squad, but he will not be called up for the game against Napoli because there is tension between Roma and the player.

Today his agent will speak with Bournemouth to understand the plans and project of the club, given that they are currently in the relegation places in the Premier League. We must see if this will change Zaniolo’s plans because at the moment he is not keen on a move to Bournemouth.

Instead, Milan are the team in his head and Zaniolo is even willing to stay with the Giallorossi until to the summer and then see if Milan will make a new attempt. Roma meanwhile hope to hear that he has accepted Bournemouth so they can recoup €30m and then buy Hakim Ziyech as a replacement.

  1. Hopefully we’ll have the budget next season. The past management had put (whether we want to admit it or not) a solid Scudetto winning team. And we need couple of solid additions to that base to reach higher goals.

But sadly that’s not what happened so far. I don’t see a point where you decide to buy a productive asset but do not want to invest and make it even more productive. To earn more, you have to invest more. That’s pretty simple thing in life.

  3. No no, read the comments. It is better to waste 20M on Zyiech who will be 30 in 2 months. Why would you get a 23 year old player that has flair and can dribble past players for maybe 10M more? One trick pony is always better. :DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

    1. Because we can only have patience towards our wonder kid, the prodigy, the one in million, the only one who can’t be blamed, the never-mind-the-35mil-as-long-as-we’re-patience, you know who. Even Hauge’s first season stat was way better than him, and costed way more less. Wonder why we didn’t play the same patience card towards Hauge.

    2. “30 in 2 months”

So he’d still have 4-8 good years ahead of him. That’s already 4 times more than Zaniolo who is already a failure with no future whatsoever.

  4. So that’s it, not a single fvckin’ signing on this winter market to proper reinforce the side. The team is in shambles and all we can get is a backup goalkeeper?

Well, I usually prefer to remain optimistic, but this is pathetic.

    1. Yea man it’s one thing if we were on a solid run of results and nipping at Napoli’s heels. Instead we’re in the midst of a full scale implosion, getting shellacked TWICE in a week. You have to intervene in the market in our situation and they didn’t. Disappointing.
