Messaggero: Zaniolo is ready to wait for Milan to make their move

By Euan Burns -

AS Roma forward Nicolo Zaniolo is ready to wait for AC Milan to make their move for him in the summer as he feels it is the right club for him, a report claims.

As has been reported by Il Messsaggero (via Milan News), the Italian attacker is continuing to think about his future after not managing to secure a move away from Roma in the January transfer window.

Milan were the team he wanted to join the most but they were not able to find a financial agreement with the Giallorossi.

By the end of the season, Zaniolo will have just one year left to run on his deal and that is when Milan feel they can sign him for much less than would have been needed last month.

Zaniolo is willing to wait until the summer for Milan to make the deal work. It is not clear if he will feature for Roma at all for the rest of the season.

  1. Though I don’t like him as a player because of his injury records but if he’s willing to wait for Milan then we should go for him. We’ll just hope he’s injury free while playing for Milan.

  2. Let’s get him next season and give him a fair chance. When someone sincerely want to join Milan, that’s really a value-added thing. Remember the case of Tonali? When he’s willing to cut his salary just to make the move to Milan permanent. And we all know he’s been a valuable part of our squad ever since.

Why can’t give this guy a same chance. Yes, yes, he shares different attitude than Tonali. But that’s just one side of story we’ve been hearing time and time again.

  3. At least the kid isn’t all about money, he had a choice to go to Bournemouth for outrageous wages and instead, he turned them down hoping to stay in Italy.

This is why I feel milan should go after more Italians. Others usually start in serie a and then want to move abroad. While Italians like to represent their country on the biggest teams. If leao doesn’t renew he must be sold for minimum 100m and we can definitely strengthen the squad in all departments with that money. We’d probably be better off. We’ve seen leao at his best and leao at his worst, to me he still isn’t a 7.5m player

    1. “If leao doesn’t renew he must be sold for minimum 100m”

There’s just one lil thing… NO ONE will pay 100M€ for a player whose contract runs out in 12 months.

  4. He is willing to take a paycut to be here, he has turned down a lot of premier league cash and he has so far avoided any bad knee recurrent injuries since coming back. This is exactly the type of signing we need to be investing in. Players with real potential who actually want to be here and not just use it as a premier league launching point.

  5. i see it’s coming..
Zaniolo to Juve/Napoli & Ziyech to Inter/Roma then we get Osorio or someone cheaper than 10m cuz our owner is too smart
