GdS: Man Utd could offer three potential counterparts in bid for €50m-rated Milan star

AC Milan could have the pick of three Manchester United players if they are willing to accept a counterpart for Rafael Leao.

La Gazzetta dello Sport have published a report today claiming that the Milan management are seriously considering selling Leao in order to try create a ‘super attack’, with Alexander Sorloth of Atletico Madrid one of the targets, and Christian Pulisic the existing piece to build around.

A potential exchange deal

Where could Leao go? Manchester United have returned to the scene, with Leao a former target too. With Michael Carrick’s side third in the standings, the Red Devils are planning on making signings to bolster the squad ahead of a Champions League return.

United are looking for a player who can beat a man on the left and alternate with Cunha. Their first choice is Morgan Rogers, the Aston Villa winger valued at double the €50m Milan are reportedly asking for in negotiations for Leao.

Negotiations between the two clubs have not started yet, but there are some intermediaries and agents at work to bring Rafa across the Channel and perhaps include a counterpart in the deal. Milan only want money, but United could offer an interesting name.

The list of players Milan could be offered includes forward Joshua Zirkzee, midfielder Manuel Ugarte and winger Marcus Rashford. The latter two have less of a chance than the Dutchman of making the move to San Siro, especially Rashford given Barcelona want to keep him.
