Joshua Zirkzee has responded to a comparison that was put forward which likened him to AC Milan legend Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
There seems to be no doubting that Zirkzee will be the hot topic of the summer transfer window in Italy as he continues to showcase all of his talent with goals, assists and an extraordinary ability to make his team play better.
Milan are among his biggest admirers as per widespread sources, and the former Bayern Munich man recently admitted that playing at San Siro is among the best moments of his career so far, perhaps sending a wink in the Rossoneri’s direction.
Zirkzee gave a long interview to Corriere della Sera in which he also commented on the words of Ivan Juric, the Torino coach, who declared that in certain movements the Dutchman reminds him of Ibrahimovic.
“It’s a great compliment. It’s not so usual to see a tall centre-forward with good technique. I don’t want to appear presumptuous, I thank Juric: but yes, I’ll see you again,” he said (via MilanNews).
In addition to that, the young forward was asked about his future beyond this season and he gave little away.
“No, no, I’m not thinking about it at all. For me, there’s only the match against Verona. Could I stay at Bologna in the event of qualification for the Champions League? I’m only thinking about Verona.”
