CM: Ziyech becomes a concrete opportunity – the background and Chelsea’s conditions

The possibility of Hakim Ziyech joining AC Milan was relaunched last night and it is quickly gathering steam with more confirmations coming each hour.

Calciomercato.com report that Ziyech is ‘more than just a temptation’ as the management are now working on the operation. It is an opportunity that came about earlier this week when the agent of the Moroccan forward contacted Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara to probe their interest after last summer’s attempt.

The former Ajax star would like a transfer to the Italian champions because he has fallen out of favour under Thomas Tuchel and he has decided to leave Chelsea. Milan consider Ziyech the ideal player to raise the team’s quality in the attack, given his ability to play both as a playmaker and as a right winger.

The 29-year-old possesses vision and also end product which has been lacking in the No.10 and right wing roles. The entourage of Ziyech presented Chelsea’s conditions too: a €6-7m paid loan and a figure to be agreed with regards to an option to buy.

In the next few days talks between the two managements are expected to begin the negotiation formally, as Maldini and Massara look to put the Botman disappointment behind them.
