Despite the fact the management has been cleared out at AC Milan, there is still a clash in vision among those who remain.
According to Corriere dello Sport, Zlatan Ibrahimovic is the man that believes he has the keys to redesign Milan how he sees fit. At the moment, the vision he has in mind is Arne Slot as the head coach and Ramon Planes as the sporting director.

An important name in this picture is Rafaela Pimenta, the super agent and heir to Mino Raiola, who in turn was Ibrahimovic’s longtime agent. Contacts between Pimenta and Ibrahimovic are very close, and it is she who is promoting the path that leads to Planes and Slot.
The other road leads to Ralf Rangnick and consequently to Oliver Glasner as technical director and head coach. The latter will meet the Rossoneri shortly while Jaissle (another disciple of Rangnick) is under contract with Al-Ahli and the compensation requested risks complicating matters further.
‘AC Ibra’
Slot’s stock soared over the past weekend, when his exit from Liverpool became official. The Dutchman is ready to get back into the game with a new professional challenge in a different world of football, Italian football.
Ibrahimovic himself is convinced, ready to make a clean break from Allegri’s tactical management to recruit a coach with an international profile, who rose to prominence with his experience in the Eredivisie and the Premier League.

Rangnick would arrive as a plenipotentiary at Milan with broader powers, with a coach chosen specifically like Glasner, who he knows from his time in the Red Bull world. The World Cup begins in less than ten days and Rangnick will give a definitive answer to Austria about his plans.
The former Manchester United and RB Leipzig coach will speak with the federation leaders in the coming days. He will do so before embarking for the United States, and the fact that he has to focus (at least initially) on Austria rather than Milan certainly doesn’t play in his favour.
Glasner is certainly the one who is ready to start again immediately, after winning the Conference League with Crystal Palace. It’s no coincidence that there’s particular interest in him, starting with Bayer Leverkusen, who have already come forward to test the waters.

So, who is Ibra working for, his agent or the club?
I don’t mind Slot, but I think Rangnick with a clear concept from top to bottom is much better in the long run.
If things will go wrong with Slot, we are back at where we started. If things go wrong with Glassner, there is still a concept to rely on.
With Ibra it’s all about connections regardless of competency or merit. First, Kirovski, now Pimenta’s clients. Truthfully, Slot wouldn’t even be a bad option but there’s no competent structure whatsoever above him and and no clarity below him.
That is a very accurate description of ACM in general, (no competent structure and no clarity) well put.
As long as that remains, no manager will succeed.
Let’s give ibra the key he will do well

If Ragnick doesn’t come, then they should indeed go for Slot. Nog because Ibra advises it, but because he is actually a great coach.

No, it didn’t! No major club is linked with him. Just because someone is suddenly available doesn’t mean their stock has soared. Slot inherited Klopp’s team. When he needed to change things up following the loss of Diaz and Jota, he failed. He also showed weak leadership when Van Dijk continually remonstrated with Kerkez and other defenders on the pitch and was called out by Salah twice, once during the season and once after leaving. 11 or so players are said to have liked a post Salah put out calling for a return to Klopp style football, which shows Slot was loathed by the players. This is a recipe for disaster. Ibrahimovic knows that under Ragnick, his powers will be severely diminished and he’ll disaster from the limelight, that is why I expect he’s in favour of Slot.

I don’t know what the owner still see in Ibrahimovic. I believe he should have gone with the rest of the dissolved management. I don’t fancy Arne Slot after seeing what he did at Liverpool. He won the league in his first season with a team built by his predecessor, Jürgen Klopp. The following season, he distablize the team and brought in expensive players that flop. This made Liverpool to end 5th. They are lucky to still be able to participate in champions league.
I’m in full support of Ragnick and the coaches he brings to rebuild this AC Milan.
