It has been a strange day for Milan; it seemed it was going to be another day of maybes. However, actions took place early on, with Fabrizio Romano breaking the news about Ruben Amorim and Matteo Moretto followed with a bombshell about the management positions.
Indeed, he tweeted that there was a verbal agreement with Krösche from Milan and that Timmo Hardung would also be heading to the Rossoneri.
Since then, there have been suggestions otherwise from Germany. However, it appears that there is no need to panic.
Negotiations underway with Frankfurt
According to MilanNews, Krösche is very much still on his way if things proceed as they are. In fact, an agreement has already been made between the club and their proposed Head of Football. As stated, though, there is no agreement with Frankfurt, at least not yet.
Negotiations are underway, though, and it could be a case of them arriving soon. The Rossoneri are aware that they will need to pay between €7.5-10 million to release him and Hardung from their contracts.
However, that figure could drop if both confirm to Frankfurt that they would like to leave.
If there were any doubts about the German’s interest, he was involved in the voting process for the new manager and opted for Amorim over Oliver Glasner. That wouldn’t happen unless he was ready to take the job.
