Agent of Real Madrid defender alerts Milan: “He really likes the idea of playing in Serie A”

The agent of Real Madrid defender Nacho Fernandez has admitted his client’s total openness to move to Italy amid links with AC Milan.

The Rossoneri were heavily linked with a move for Nacho during the summer window when they were searching for a new centre-back, and that search is set to resume as they did not manage to recruit a new player in that position.

Sky Italia journalist Luca Marchetti even reported how at Casa Milan some intermediaries offered Nacho of Real Madrid to the Rossoneri management, but Milan made it known that at that moment there were other priorities.

The Spanish defender has made only six appearances in La Liga and two in the Champions League during the 2020-21 season and does not seem to be at the centre of Zinedine Zidane’s plans.

Juanma Lopez – the agent of Nacho – spoke about the player’s situation in an interview with Di Marzio.

“Nacho is an incredible professional. He has the head of Real Madrid, has a winning mentality and it is no coincidence that Florentino and Zidane do not want to sell him,” he said (via MilanLive).

“But I say that if he were to leave Madrid, his first choice would be Italy. He really likes the idea of playing in Serie A.”
