On Monday, Milan confirmed that they had sacked their manager after less than a year following the collapse to end 2025-26. According to this morning’s edition of Corriere dello Sport (via MilanPress), Allegri remains an option for Napoli, who have parted ways with Antonio Conte.
Milan await Allegri developments
Allegri will be in Pescara today for the first edition of the Premio Galeone. He has already spoken with Aurelio De Laurentiis and has already reached a preliminary agreement over a two-year contract, as per the newspaper.
However contractual situation with Milan remains to be resolved, given that his agreement with the Rossoneri expires in 2027. If he is the Azzurri’s choice, some diplomacy will be required, but an agreement should be reached without major problems.
The deal that Allegri signed with the Rossoneri was worth €5m net per season, equivalent to €9m gross. He would be owed that full amount unless a termination is agreed, allowing him to join another club and probably saving Milan quite a lot of money.
The other name on the Neapolitans’ list is Vincenzo Italiano: his agents have also had positive contact with De Laurentiis, but his contract with Bologna also remains to be terminated.
A meeting between the coach and the Bologna management is expected today or tomorrow at the latest to determine whether or not there will be a separation. Napoli will then choose who they prefer.
