After the yellow card received in the derby against Inter, Adrien Rabiot won’t be at Allegri’s disposal for tomorrow’s game against Lazio. It’s a significant absence given his importance to the team, but Milan also have a couple of decent options ready to take his spot.

Indeed, the Jashari vs. Ricci battle has been the main talking point among the fans in the last couple of days. We weighed in on the matter in the latest podcast episode, with Oliver and Ahmed suggesting that Jashari definitely deserves the chance, but some are advocating for the Italian.

Battle remains open

During his press conference, Allegri was asked about how he will deal with such a heavy absence, especially since the numbers clearly show that Milan have been much worse without the Frenchman on the pitch. A challenge for the manager, indeed.

“Numbers are made to be broken. Tomorrow, I don’t know who will play between Jashari and Ricci, but the important thing is that the team puts in a solid performance, with a great defensive performance, because they are a team that scores a lot towards the end of matches.

“Then, fortunately, tomorrow we will have a full stadium, because 10,000 AC Milan fans will be there, which is very important for us. We need to finish the week well, and tomorrow we will play this game. I repeat, if we do our best, those behind us won’t be able to catch us,” he stated.
