Coming into this season, it was clear that AC Milan needed a bit of a mentality reset. Last season it was questionable and the team looked like a group rather than a close squad.

It was difficult to really associate the team last season as a proper team for most parts of the year. There were occasions – look at the Supercoppa Italiana, for example – where the squad looked like a team. By that, we mean everyone fighting for the same purpose, with little background noise or negativity.
However, there were far too many occasions where things were a tick away from being right. Whether it was the cooling break issue or Sergio Conceicao’s talk of the future, there was almost always something. In other words, it was difficult to truly align with them and them with each other.
Allegri’s change
As Tuttosport reports, this is no longer the case. In fact, everyone inside and outside of the squad votes for Massimiliano Allegri. With him in charge, the Rossoneri have returned to central roles in the Scudetto and Champions League races.
They are competitive once again, which the club have not been able to say for far too long. It seems he is already very likely to complete his job, as the paper writes, by qualifying for the Champions League.
For that reason, everyone backs him. The management have surrounded him with talk of a positive future and the players speak for themselves! Look at the Luka Modric case, for example.
Everyone is aligned with Allegri and it is refreshing to see, whilst also bringing positivity in the form of noticeably better results.
