Bonaventura on Atalanta clash: “We will try to put in a great performance”

As kick-off between Atalanta and AC Milan is just minutes away, Giacomo Bonaventura spoke to MilanTV (via MilanNews.it) about the Rossoneri’s chances in the game. After a draw last time out, they will be looking for a win.

Milan failed to beat Sassuolo in front of a well-filled San Siro last weekend, missing way too many chances. Hopefully, they have practised their shooting in training, as they will need to be a lot more composed to win the games.

“We have worked well, we prepared for the game according to the opposition’s characteristics. We will try to put in a great performance,” he began.

Bonaventura has been in good form lately, becoming an important figure. Before joining the Rossoneri, Bonaventura played for Atalanta. Therefore, it’s a very special game for the Italian veteran, as he described in the interview.

“Atalanta? It’s always an emotion to come back here, I have many memories. I hope to have a great game,” he continued.

Today’s game will be very difficult for Pioli’s, as Atalanta are hard to beat on their home turf. As the midfielder explained it, they will simply have to be better than the Bergamo side in all respects.

“They are a difficult team to face, they have quality and intensity. We will have to do better than them in these respects to win,” he concluded.
