SM: Probable XIs for Cagliari vs. Milan – the doubts for Mazzarri and Pioli to resolve

AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli has not yet made a decision on the starting line-up that he will take to the field with in tonight’s game against Cagliari.

As we have learned through our colleagues at SempreMilan.it, there is a battle between Messias and Saelemaekers for the right wing spot and at the moment the Brazilian has the advantage over the Belgian, but Pioli could rest the Crotone loanee.

Sandro Tonali should start from the bench, after recovering from a fever he had in the past few days, which means Kessie and Bennacer will be in the midfield. Mike Maignan will be in goal, then a defence formed by Calabria, Tomori, Kalulu and Theo Hernandez, with Messias, Diaz and Leao behind Giroud.

Mazzari’s doubts

There is still some indecision also from Cagliari. Andrea Carboni is battling for a starting spot with Giorgio Altare to join Matteo Lovato and Edoardo Goldaniga in the defence.

Probable Cagliari XI (3-5-2): Cragno; Goldaniga, Lovato, Altar; Bellanova, Deiola, Grassi, Baselli, Dalbert; Keita, Joao Pedro. C

Probable Milan XI (4-2-3-1): Maignan; Calabria, Tomori, Kalulu, T. Hernandez; Bennacer, Kessie; Messias, B. Diaz, Leao; Giroud.
