CF: How much Milan would miss out on if they do not get top four

AC Milan’s project would suffer quite serious economic damage if the team were to fail to qualify for the next Champions League, according to a report.

The defeat against Inter has made it clear just how precarious the situation is for Milan as they have gone from a potential renewed Scudetto push 80 minutes into the Roma game to now being outside the top four after a run of five league games without a wim.

As Calcio e Finanza (via MlanNews) report, according to the accounts of the Rossoneri, not qualifying for the top club competition in Europe would be a significant problem. In fact, the 2022 budget shows that the club collected almost €45m by going out in the group stage in 2021-22, while this year the €60m mark has already been reached.

However, the minimum amount guaranteed by access to the Champions League is €30.61m, certainly not an irrelevant number. There is €15.64m from the participation bonus, €10.24m from the historical ranking, €2m from market pool one and €2.73, from market pool two.
