Calciomercato.com write how Ziyech has shown he is capable of strokes of genius, be they goals or assists, to unlock any game even against ‘stronger’ opponents, and now the January transfer window is close.

He has not had much playing time at Chelsea in 2022 and therefore could leave, while Milan sporting director Ricky Massara is still among Ziyech’s top admirers having wanted to bring him to Italy for years now.

However, at present the chances of seeing the Moroccan forward at Milan are low because the management only intend to intervene if strictly necessary, and the return of Alexis Saelemaekers plus the presence of Junior Messias has them feeling the right wing is covered.

The Rossoneri directors cannot guarantee Ziyech the same salary and this is one of the main reasons that blocked the negotiation. Massara remains attentive both to Ziyech’s exploits on the pitch and to what can happen off the field between now and June, hoping that an opportunity presents itself.
