CM: Boban considers Barcelona midfielder a dream signing – the major obstacle

AC Milan remain interested in Barcelona midfielder Ivan Rakitic who is considered a ‘dream’ for Zvonomir Boban, a report claims.

The Rossoneri are in dire need of some experience in the January transfer window with their young squad currently struggling down in 14th place, having lost seven of their first 12 games.

One player who continues to be linked with a move to Milan is Rakitic, and on Thursday night La Gazzetta dello Sport reporter Nicolo Schira confirmed that he had been offered the the club, as well as Inter and Manchester United.

According to Calciomercato.com, the Croatian midfielder has his heart set on leaving the Catalan giants and Boban is observing closely, considering his compatriot a dream signing.

However one big obstacle currently remains: at the moment the 31-year-old former Sevilla star earns over €5million per year.

Rakitic has featured in just 255 minutes of competitive football for the Blaugrana this season and his recent comments clearly indicate that he himself is not happy with the situation.
