CM: De Ketelaere has ‘mentally pulled the plug’ and ‘feels like a Milan player’ – the latest

Another clue has emerged suggesting that AC Milan are not far away from an end to the Charles De Ketelaere saga, a report claims.

According to Daniele Longo’s latest for Calciomercato.com, De Ketelaere did not train with his Club Brugge team-mates today as their preparations continued for the first away game of the season against Eupen, following wins against Gent in the Belgian Super Cup and KRC Genk to open the league season at home.

The club preferred for the 21-year-old playmaker to work individually, because De Ketelaere has ‘mentally pulled the plug’ on his time with them and already ‘feels like a Milan player’ but some more time will be needed before everything is done.

Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara are waiting for a response from Club Brugge after their latest offer of €32m plus €3m in bonuses, which should arrive in the next few hours. There has been talk of a Sunday deadline for the operation to go through but in reality it could happen much quicker.
