It has been confirmed that Lille will face no sanctions from the Professional Club Control Commission in France, which potentially unlocks their market.
As Calciomercato.com reports, Lille have now confirmed that they will face no action from the commission via a press release on their official website, and it is news that could have a big bearing on the summer mercato.
“As part of the review of the club situation for the 2022-2023 sporting season, the Professional Club Control Commission has taken the following decisions under Article 11 of the DNCG Rules:
LOSC LILLE: No action taken against the club since DNCG.”
The commission approved the line proposed by the president of Lille, Olivier Letang, regarding the management of outgoing players to raise funds and improve the club’s financial position. It is good news consequently also for Milan, who can now move freely with the French club for the closure of the Sven Botman and Renato Sanches deals.
The Portuguese midfielder should arrive in a deal worth €18m while the plyaer will receive a salary of €3.2m net per season plus bonuses.
For Botman, there is strong competition from Newcastle and ongoing evaluations by Milan on a figure above €30m including bonuses. Lille are trying to raise the price, but the Premier League club do not seem to want to play along, aware of the fact that the defender has a personal agreement with the Rossoneri.
