Messias joined Milan on an initial loan deal last summer and the Rossoneri have been negotiating with Crotone over the redemption in the last few weeks. In spite of an obvious slowdown, the deal is now completed.
As per Calciomercato.com, Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara managed to obtain a rather significant discount (from €8m to €4.5m) and that made the transfer a no-brainer. It won’t affect the pursuit of Ziyech, though, as has been confirmed.
Negotiations are ongoing with Chelsea, per the report, and it should be a loan with an obligation to buy at €25-30m. Ziyech’s flexibility is highly appreciated by Stefano Pioli and with his arrival, Milan will really send a message to the rest of the league.
