CM: Milan happy to let defender leave in January – the most likely idea as two clubs circle

Two clubs are sniffing around as AC Milan will not stand in the way of right-back Andrea Conti in the January window, a report claims.

Conti has found himself bottom of the right-back pecking order behind Davide Calabria, Diogo Dalot and even Pierre Kalulu, leading to speculation that he could depart next month when the window reopens.

According to Calciomercato.com, the most concrete hypothesis is that of a six-month loan, considering that the Rossoneri would have to collect at least €9million if they were to sell him permanently, a significant and difficult figure to imagine clubs paying given the current economic difficulties due to COVID-19.

Fiorentina are very attentive to possible developments as their sporting director Daniele Pradè wanted him last summer, now he’s thinking about replacing the departing Lirola. Genoa meanwhile are looking for a right-back for their new head coach Davide Ballardini.

At the beginning of January, a meeting is expected between Maldini and Massara with the boy’s agent, Mario Giuffredi, to take stock of the situation and understand what is the best solution.
