CM: Milan have ‘strong interest’ in €30m goalkeeper but face competition from Inter

AC Milan could be set for a market duel with rivals Inter for the signing of goalkeeper Juan Musso this summer, according to a report.

Calciomercato.com are claiming that Inter have been following Musso for some time, even since his days at Racing Club in Argentina, and they are now thinking about the right approach to seal his signature this summer in order to secure a long-term replacement for Samir Handanovic.

However, the same outlet also claims that Milan have a ‘strong interest’ in the 25-year-old, having convinced the Rossoneri scouts who have followed him several times during the course of this season. It has previously been reported that he has a price tag of around €30million.

Milan have drawn up a shortlist of potential targets for if Gianluigi Donnarumma does leave this summer as some media outlets are reporting is highly possible. Other names on the list – but below Musso – include Salvatore Sirigu from Torino and Alex Meret from Napoli.

CEO Ivan Gazidis gave a mandate to his collaborators to probe the ground so as not to be found unprepared in the event of Donnarumma’s farewell.
