Calciomercato.com report that the Rossoneri management had a positive discussion with the agents of Guirassy yesterday, so much so that an official negotiation between the parties will be able to begin in the next few hours.

The forward’s will at the moment is to remain in Germany at least until the end of the season to try to win the Golden Boot and bring Stuttgart back to the Champions League, but the call from Geoffrey Moncada seems to have left a good impression.

Guirassy has convinced the Milan scouts more and more, especially in the last month where he has been followed consistently. Now the Rossoneri plan to convince the player also from an economic point of view.

The mission has begun even if there are difficulties relating to the Premier League competition: Newcastle United, Manchester United and West Ham United above all are keen on landing the 27-year-old. The risk is that an auction could be triggered whereby he would earn a bigger salary in England.

Milan now consider Guirassy as ‘Plan A’ for January even if they have not stopped following alternatives. The idea is to pay the €17.5m clause to Stuttgart, but to do so first the player’s approval will be needed.

The opening recorded yesterday puts the Rossoneri in an advantageous position over their rivals, so the developments in the coming days and weeks will be crucial.
