AC Milan could offer defender Mateo Musacchio a new two-year deal, according to the latest reports.
Head coach Marco Giampaolo has always been complimentary of the Argentine, even labelling him as one of the leaders of the team during a recent press conference at Milanello (via MilanNews.it).
Speculation over a potential renewal for the 29-year-old have started up as a result, with Calciomercato.com suggesting the club have scheduled talks with Musacchio for this exact reason.
Now, a report from Calciomercato.it backs this up, claiming that the Rossoneri could offer the former Villarreal man a new contract which would expire in 2021.
Milan did sign Leo Duarte in the summer from Flamengo, and reports from La Gazzetta dello Sport – as cited by MilanNews.it – suggested that he could be set to overtake Musacchio in the pecking order.
There is of course also Mattia Caldara, who is continuing his recovery from a ligament injury but will not be rushed.
