CM: Milan eye Lens midfielder as Plan B to Loftus-Cheek – the figures

AC Milan have been heavily linked with Ruben Loftus-Cheek in the last few weeks and while he remains the priority, the Rossoneri also have a plan B. In fact, Seko Fofana is on their wish list.

It’s not exactly a secret that Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara are interested in Loftus-Cheek. Their excellent relations with Chelsea, as well as the latter’s need to sell, has made the midfielder a very interesting opportunity on the market.

According to Calciomercato.com, Chelsea have asked for €20m but Milan are confident that they can get a discount on the asking price. The Rossoneri don’t want to be caught unprepared this summer, though, and that’s why they also have a Plan B.

Seko Fofana, formerly of Udinese and currently at Lens, has been on Milan’s radar for many years and Maldini is a fan of the player. He has a release clause of €25m but could perhaps leave for less. Given his big role at the club, though, it won’t be easy to convince him to leave.
