CM: Milan planning at least four summer signings – the positions and targets

In the end there was no drama late in the window for AC Milan as they stuck with Filippo Terracciano as the only new signing of the January mercato.

Calciomercato.com report that Milan decided not to rush into or push through a signing that they were not fully convinced by, either in terms of the profile of the player or the econimic aspect.

Terracciano was the only addition made therefore, and he chose Milan over other options such as Fiorentina and Juventus because he was convinced by the project presented to him in view of the future.

The feeling is that the Italian is an interesting signing because he is young, has high potential, he knows how to play multiple roles and is of course useful for the composition of the squad lists.

Now the management are already looking ahead to the future, and the report claims that there are four signings planned before the start of the 2024-25 season.

One will be a new centre-back, with Lloyd Kelly of Bournemouth and Tosin Adarabioyo of Fulham hottest names at the moment. Both would arrive on free transfers.

A couple of signings for the midfield are expected, with Lewis Ferguson from Bologna and Assan Ouédraogo from Schalke 04 high on the wish list.

Then there will obviously be the signing of a new starting striker, with Joshua Zirkzee of Bologna ahead in the list of preferences compared to Benjamin Sesko of RB Leipzig.

In a feature last night we also outlined the business that Geoffrey Moncada is planning, including some key renewals he will tackle.
