As Calciomercato.com writes, there is in particular a great deal of uncertainty surrounding Andrea Conti, who has arrived at a crossroads in his career after Parma decided not to use their option to sign him on a permanent basis.
He has returned to Milan for preseason but the management did not give any signals that they are willing to keep him for the new season with Davide Calabria the clear first choice, Diogo Dalot the target to become the back-up and Pierre Kalulu as third choice.
Regarding Dalot, Manchester United are continuing to ask for between €18-20m to sell him but Milan are not interested in paying so much, with Maldini and Massara instead hoping to close a loan with option to buy deal but at the moment it is the least probable formula.
Conti’s position remains on standby until something moves on that front, but whoever wants the former Atalanta man will have to buy him outright. He weighs €4.8m on the balance sheet and earns almost €4m in gross salary, with Genoa and Sampdoria keen but hoping for an end of summer sale.
