CM: PSG willing to part with €30m defender but Milan’s strategy has changed

AC Milan are still looking for a new central defender after missing out on Sven Botman, and Abdou Diallo’s name continues to be mentioned.

Calciomercato.com cite L’Equipe and Le Parisien in claiming that Diallo will be allowed to leave Paris Saint-Germain this summer after making only 16 appearances in all competitions for the Parisian club last season.

He was never a first choice under Mauricio Pochettino nor will he be one for the new coach Christophe Galtier, and a meeting in the next few days will confirm that the Senegal international can leave despite having a contract expiring in 2024.

Milan have had his name in their notebook for a long time and his profile is liked by Maldini and Massara, but they have no intention of paying the current €30m asking price because they intend to invest most of their budget in the attack.

Alessio Romagnoli’s replacement will arrive, but not at this time and above all under different economic conditions, because the €30m+ that was ready for Botman has been moved elsewhere and the strategies have changed.
