CM: Signing of Kamada’s Milan contract to be delayed – the reason

The signings of Daichi Kamada’s contract with AC Milan is expected to be delayed by a few weeks due to some issues, a report claims.

According to a report from Calciomercato.com, Kamada has promised himself to Milan for several weeks after being convinced by the project put in front of him, which he preferred to that of Atletico Madrid and Borussia Dortmund.

There were some rumours suggesting that Kamada would land in Italy next week after Eintracht Frankfurt’s DFB-Pokal final against RB Leipzig today, but a small bureaucratic hitch risks delaying the official announcement.

The report states that a ‘bureaucratic problem linked to the Japanese player’s agents’ is behind the slowdown compared to the initial schedule for Kamada’s arrival at Milan. However, sources close to the playmaker say the operation is not at risk.

The closing of the deal could be postponed by a few weeks, considering that the player will leave in the middle of next week for his holidays in Japan.

Kamada has an agreement for a four-year contract at €3m net per season, but signatures are needed to close a deal worked on since February.
