As pointed out by Corriere dello Sport (via Milan News), Milan appear to have switched their problem areas over the summer.

The attack was where people felt the most improvement was needed and that has been addressed, with Milan scoring 10 goals in their eight friendlies this summer.

Now, though, it is the defence that is coming under fire. The defence did not impress in Sunday’s friendly against Novara, conceding twice from avoidable situations.

Fikayo Tomori has come under a lot of fire from fans for his perceived poor performances and this is partly why there is still a chance that Milan add another defender to the squad this summer.

Given Simon Kjaer’s fitness cannot always be trusted, extra cover in the centre of defence may be needed to compliment the improved attack.
