It seems as though AC Milan have dropped the idea of signing Lucas Vazquez on a free transfer due to his demands, a report claims.

The idea of taking Vazquez at zero cost has been talked about for weeks, especially in the event of qualification for the next Champions League, as an element of versatility and experience like Vazquez is of course very useful.
However, il Corriere dello Sport (via MilanLive) reports that that the negotiation risks running aground for economic reasons as the demand from Vazquez and his entourage on a contractual level is too high. He currently gets €3.5m net per season and with what would likely be his last big contract he wants north of €4m, with a high commission added for his main representative Arturo Canales.
It is too much for Milan as they want to try and keep their salary levels below a certain point, so as a result Milan are continuing to keep the Danilo D’Ambrosio idea alive.
