CorSport: Milan’s interest in Marseille midfielder remains but asking price must come down

AC Milan have not dropped their interest in signing Boubacar Kamara from Marseille but the asking price continues to be an obstacle, a report claims.

The permanent arrival of Sandro Tonali plus the presence of Ismael Bennacer and Franck Kessie have left the management looking for a fourth quality element to complete the department. This is especially important given Kessie and Bennacer will be away at the African Cup of Nations from January until potentially early February.

According to the latest from il Corriere dello Sport (via MilanNews), the candidacy of Kamara remain for Milan in terms of fixing the last gap in the midfield department but the main issue remains his price tag.

Despite the fact his contract is expiring in June 2022 with no sign of an imminent renewal, Olympique Marseille are continuing to ask for a fee of €20m in order to let the 21-year-old defensive midfielder leave.
