Milan will hope that they head into the last three games of the season with Champions League qualification either already in the bag or with a very good chance of securing it, but there is always a chance that these matches can mean a bit more.
Milan vs. Atalanta: Date and time confirmed
As the official website report, in the penultimate match of the season at San Siro in round 36, the Rossoneri will host their Lombardy neighbours Atalanta. The date and time has now been confirmed: Sunday 10 May at 20:45 CEST.
In the meeting in Bergamo last October, Milan were held to a 1-1 draw by Atalanta at the New Balance Arena. In truth, ‘held’ is being a bit generous given the home side were largely on top in the gap, equalising through Ademola Lookman after Samuele Ricci’s opener.
Milan and Atalanta have met 148 times in their history across all competitions. Historically, the Rossoneri have the edge with 69 wins against La Dea’s 31, while 49 games have ended in draws.
End of season game against the Nerazzurri provoke memories of the 2-0 win in May 2022 at San Siro, which put Milan just one point away from winning the Scudetto, which they would clinch one week later in Sassuolo.
